Are you Hiding From Your Truth?

A Truth Coach says…I’m not a therapist, I’m a realist. The reality is when you live a life based on truth, you won’t need someone to interpret it. But we don’t like the truth sometimes, so you want a coach, as well as, yourself to address the areas you are lying to yourself. Honesty tells you what the next step is…Its your choice to take it or avoid it. Pretty simple. Adults fear being embarrassed, but in the end, you are the one who benefits from brutal honesty, you become free from the shackles stopping your growth. God doesn’t want you perfect he wants you to be happy.

CAN’T…You can’t do that Daune. Really? Says Who?

PLEASE STOP… Please stop watching TV, believing the Photoshoped images you see, listening to others opinions, objections, insecurities and most of all beliefs about what others say you should be. Your soul truly knows what is right for you.

Very recently I was told you need to to this and that and this… and that… if you are going to excel in your career. If you are a speaker don’t use these words, don’t stand like that, wear these colors, slow down, stand this way. If you are a business coach don’t talk spirituality, its not the place. Its too woo woo. Sheesh…thats a lot of me to keep undercover. I am not like the others, so why was I trying?  Time to be honest with myself.  What was I afraid of and why was I not being my authentic self?

What I found surprising is what made me ‘Real’ is what made me good at what I do. Yes, sometimes I swear like a sailor to make my point, and sometimes I use Um…because I need a pause and sometimes I like to walk around and not stand still. This is not endorsed behavior in my so called profession. I use God and spirituality daily in my personal coaching as well as business coaching.

But, like so many…I listened to the advice. While it all seemed genuine and supportive advice, I soon began to flounder and fall. The advice didn’t work when I tried to replicate it. So I believed something was wrong with me. What? Can it be true? I’m no good?  No, it wasn’t!
As I felt lost and confused wondering am I on the right path? One day I decided to present the Daune version of their advice. The current me wasn’t any fun and I wanted to have fun again.

Guess what? Everything began to fall into place. I began to speak, write, and work from my heart and from my truth. I Stopped trying to speak English and began speaking Daune’ish. My version and my truth was FUN, I was finally free to be me and do not plan on going back.
Your version is always the right version. Your soul has its own language, when you are speaking from your heart, its always the right way. Use it and others will appreciate your authentic self and you will feel free to be you.
