Daune currently resides in Scottsdale, AZ., she grew up in Colorado and several states throughout the Southwest and Midwest.
Daune holds a Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology and is a Certified Life Coach. She has an extensive fitness background and has taught at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Dow Chemical. Following an extensive fitness career and teaching at the University level, Daune became Director of Training and Development for a national speakers bureau while developing training programs and customizing employee-relations courses for Fortune 500 companies (i.e. Kimberly Clark Corp., Menasha Corp., etc.).
Daune’s entrepreneurial talent includes successfully owning and operating businesses in the beauty, wellness and self-help industries. In addition to Daune’s coaching and speaking practices, her extensive experience expands to the beauty industry. While she owned Salon Dor hair salon, she developed programs designed to build confidence from the inside out. This unique expertise provides her the strong foundation needed for an effective and results driven life coach and personal mentor. At the same time authoring two self empowerment books, I Deserve It & Drama Detox.
As a coach, Daune is powerful and direct in her ability to liberate people from their limitations and fears. Daune’s coaching talents focus on areas of relationships, life purpose and personal & professional growth. She is on a mission is to raise the self worth of others by guiding them to create balance, clarity and success in their lives.
Daune conducts personal coaching for clients across the country as well as facilitating “I Deserve it Self-Mastery” Courses/seminars monthly. She empowers individuals daily to remove road blocks that hinder them from their greatest potential encouraging them to live the life they Deserve.
Daune approaches her coaching and speaking talents with an array of tools and thought-provoking communication thereby encouraging her clients and audiences to achieve personal and business success. Daune’s message will inspire and challenge audiences to be successful in every facet of life.
Dedra M. Johanneson
Dedra M. Johanneson is a successful entrepreneur and currently owns 19 Mystic Mountain, Inc. a Real Estate Investment company, is a speaker and business consultant with Open Mind Consulting – dba ~ I Deserve It Now. She is currently a Board Director/ Chair Elect of the National SCORE Association located in Washington D.C. In addition she has chaired the Development Committee and serves on the Nominating Committee. She has donated her time to SCORE for over six years, is a certified mentor, member of the Phoenix SCORE Chapter as well as presented workshops, mentored and counseled clients and facilitated a program for the NFL. In 2007 She received an Award from the SBA for “National Champion of Women Business”. She has been a guest speaker for many women’s groups and other organizations. Dedra was also featured in “WOW” Magazine Special Edition 2011 “Nation’s Top 90 Women” mentoring leaders.
Prior to joining SCORE, she was owner and CEO of Johanneson’s of WI, Inc., a chain of supermarkets in Colorado, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Throughout her career she and her husband have employed approximately 1,800 employees and served over a million customers in her 25 years of business ownership. Dedra and her husband also had ownership in the Grocery Wholesale supplier (Roundy’s, Inc.) In 1998 Dedra’s husband retired and she singly lead the company until it was sold in 2003. In 2001, her company competed with a Wal-Mart superstore. With her strong leadership, innovation, strategy, organization and a bottom line focus in a very competitive industry, their supermarket survived and prospered when two other supermarkets in the area failed. She worked in an industry with very narrow margins challenging her to be very efficient and effective. She and her husband were very active in supporting their community through active leadership and financial support of the Appleton Arts, Appleton Food Pantry, Fox Valley Technical College, University of Wisconsin, Local Churches and Schools, Colorado United Way, Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce.
While in the Supermarket business, She was a weekly guest for approximately two years on WHBY Radio “The Good Neighbor Show” in Appleton, Wisconsin. She had served on several Boards and Advisory Boards in the Northeast Wisconsin Community and on the National Grocers Association in Colorado. She was a member of the Wisconsin Grocers Association, Independent Grocers Alliance, Food Marketing Institute and National Grocers Association.
She was also CEO and founder of “An Open Mind, Inc.” a Training Company/Speakers Bureau. She worked with twenty eight hundred speakers, mentors and trainers throughout the United States. She worked with seven Training Video Producers, the Tony Robbins organization, Ray Nitschke, Harvey Mackay and many other speakers. The company was very successful in mentoring, training, and conducting workshops and seminars to fortune 500 companies as well as small and medium-sized organizations in the mid-west. She was an active member of the National Speakers Association, National Group of Meeting Planners and Appleton Chamber of Commerce.
Dedra was a frequent speaker in her business community including the Wisconsin Bar Association, Kimberly Clark, Proctor & Gamble, Menasha Corporation and Clemson University.
